Established in Los Angeles in 2015, Studio APA (formerly Alex Pettas Architecture) is committed to excellence in modern design. Led by Alexander Pettas and Megan Miller, we are a versatile architecture and interiors studio with broad experience in custom home, multifamily, workplace and hospitality projects. At Studio APA we seek innovative solutions to the design commissions that our clients entrust us with. We collaborate closely with both client and contractor to ensure successful outcomes from design through construction. We work in partnership with our clients to translate their desires into built form. Our multi-cultural team respects historical precedent as the spirit of the modernism movement that began in the early 20th century.

Team
Alex Pettas
Founding Principal
Alex was raised in the U.S., Greece and Italy, and has lived or worked in Japan, Spain, Australia and the Netherlands. In 2006, he received a Master of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). Prior to establishing Studio APA, he worked in the offices of Marmol Radziner (Los Angeles), Macy Architecture (San Francisco) and RoTo Architects (Los Angeles). Alex oversees the process of every project in the studio from conception to completion.
Megan Miller
Principal
Megan joined Studio APA as a senior project manager in 2021. She has also worked for Marmol Radziner, MASASTUDIO and Coop Himmelb(l)au. Megan received a Master of Architecture from Cal Poly and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from North Carolina State University. Her experience includes custom residences, mixed-use multi-family, high-rise mixed-use and high-end hospitality projects. She aspires to design spaces that are both beautiful and innovative.
